HOT OR NOT?

This site is not meant to mimic the actual city of Belvidere, Illinois. We simply took the name and changed a letter around. Why? We liked the name. So sorry if you live in or around Belvidere. We don't mean to offend. x3

Thank you Socal and Slightly Insane for making our weird Proboard modifications!

Joining applications, canon list, and rules were made/formatted by KT.

All images were created by KT, but the images used to do so are copyright to their owners.
All characters and posts made by members are copyright to them.

Don't steal anything or KT will get her knife. >:U

The first thing you come to before walking inside the school is the courtyard. Somewhat spacious with benches randomly placed about, there is a fountain directly in the middle. It serves as a relaxation station for the students... or a good place to get into trouble.

Students run in and out, to and fro, running errands for teachers or simply skipping class. The secretary, although seemingly an angry old man, does not seem to mind. Drop by, say hi... but watch out. The principal doesn't exactly share the secretary's views.

Directly across the main office, past the main entrance, and through a thin hallways lined with white bricks slabs, is the cafeteria. Although it cannot fit the student body in its entirity at one time, it's probably one of the school's major props. Well, at least the food is.

Also functions as music classes.

Every school has to have a stage, right? Belvedere is no exception. It's a pretty stage, oak floors and teal curtains. Students come here for speeches, rallies, the occasional concert, and performance arts class.

For minor injuries or simple cuts, the nurse's office is the place to go. With white walls, white tile, and the stench of peroxyde, it may not be a pleasant experience, but you'll feel better.

In the middle of the main hallway, there is the library. It is by no means a perfect library, but any student that is determined enough to find what they need (or what they want) can find it. Just don't ask the librarian, Mr. Burns, for help. He's not the nicest of people.

Just a simple, rectangular room with teal carpet and white walls. The computers aren't exactly up-to-date but they're not that slow. The only sites you can get to, supposedly, are Wikipedia, Google, Yahoo, and the school's homepage... but how does that even work out?

The lounge is situated between the boys' and girls' dorm. Decorated with red velvet or wood furniture, it sports three sofas, two chairs, and a desk. There is a worse-for-wear bookshelf that holds only late library books. The only type of techonology in the room sits in the center of it, against a window: a 24-inch screen, almost-full color television.

21st Century Cinema is Belvedere's only theater. It has six showtimes and the movies here manage to keep up with the times. Something rather odd about it: on Sundays, they like to go back and play old Disney movies with tickets at half price.

Who doesn't like ice cream? The building seems out of place, being positioned between an antique store and an old bowling alley... but the sign in the door could easily lure any unwary human into the store. It reads: Ice cream inside.

Considerably better than the school library, the Belvedere Library actually has helpful librarians and a janitor. There is a section for almost every genre, the section in religion lacking somewhat... but who cares? Occasionally there will be a local author on showcase.

Though not the most appealing of names, who doesn't want to go to a roller skating rink? It's a great place for a friends' night out, and the owner knows it. Admission is seven dollars, five on Saturdays!

If bright lights, strobes, and blasting techno music is your thing, then The Buzz is the ideal location for you. Be prepared to deal with crazy, skintight clothes that just might scar you for life. And the drunkards. The place does serve alcohol, but definitely, positively, not to students.

The name originated from the first principal of Belvedere who had the lake built in hopes of giving the students something to do...something other than going to that wretched mall, anyway. Placed a mile from the school, getting there is rough. Dirt road. Whenever you do manage to reach the lake, remember to watch out. There aren't any depth measurements out here.

Clean, wide, and spacious, the park makes for a common hangout for students looking to take a stroll, play sports, and or to just chill out. You can take your pick of one of the few wooden benches, though the huge cherry blossom tree in the center of the park proves to be one of the more popular places to study or relax.

The paved road that runs past the school is a dead end. Fortunately, before the road runs out, there is a hospital. Sacred Heart Memorial has three stories. Built from white brick, it's a pretty little place... but you definitely don't want to end up here. Your injuries must be pretty bad if the school sent you here.
