GENERAL APPEARANCE

Kiera is a rather slender girl, her height achieving about 5'6, and has really gotten into shape since joining the tennis team in eighth grade. Her skin is a soft, milky-white, but has tanned the slightest bit from being outdoors. Her eyes are a warm, almond-brown with flecks of green, usually outlined in such a fashion that creates a "smokey" effect around the eye. Her hair color falls between a pale and golden blonde, and ends a little past her shoulders. It's naturally straight, but she usually tries to achieve the slightly-wavy "feathery" look. Her hair is layered (it's been that way since junior high) and her bangs slope gently to the right. She prefers her hair to be pulled back into a ponytail, which is usually what she does when she's just hanging out with friends.

As for clothes, Kiera keeps it simple. She'll throw on whatever's comfortable--she even shares clothes with her mother. She's not really in to expensive brands (Wal-Mart does it just fine for her) but doesn't mind wearing something nice and posh every now and then. Her favorite outfit is a black long-sleeved, fitting shirt that comes down about mid-thigh. The sleeves come down to the midpoint of her hand, barely skimming the tips of her knuckles. The shirt is a wide scoop-neck, spanning from shoulder to shoulder so hot-pink spaghetti straps are visible. Her fave jeans are light blue, and are tucked into black, medium-heeled boots (with buckles on them). It's also not uncommon to see her sporting her much-loved green jacket and an old pair of sneakers when she's just hangin' around the house or going out for pizza with Takeru, Raine, and Vincent.



PERSONALITY

Kiera is tenaciously loyal, protective, and supportive of those she cares about, and has a very strong nurturing, maternal nature. Kiera empathizes with others and intuitively senses the feelings and needs of other people. Compassionate and sympathetic, she is easily moved by others' pain, and Kiera is often the one that others seek out when they need comfort, reassurance, or help.
She also never forgets either kindness or unkindness shown to her. If Kiera seems to be continually disappointed by or deceived by others, she should try to see how her own naiveté may be contributing to these situations. Her instincts and psychological perceptions about others are also quite incisive.

Kiera is very humorous and outgoing, and pretty easy to get along with. She likes to joke around, her childhood pal Vincent being the center of her teasings. One thing she hates are people who display a condescending attitude towards others, and especially those who diss her friends/uphold a rivaled position.
On another note, it’s probably a good idea to mention Kiera’s mortal enemy…..Belvedere Sex-Ed teacher Sylvia Browne. She hates this woman with a firey passion, usually referring to her as the “Gray-Haired Bitch”, and in return is called the “Little Blonde Bitch”. Make sure you duck for cover when you get these two together. Ahem. Other than that, Kiera rarely ever lets a curse word pass her lips.

That's just one of her personalities, however. That's right-- Kiera suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder, also known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Because of this, she sometimes has blackouts, misperception of time, and amnesia. The appearance of her alter ego is random, and thought it's been appearing more frequently, it is still not extremely often. Her split-personality goes by the name of Phaedra, acting as her polar opposite. Being her sort of "dark side", she tends to be cruel, violent, distrusting, sly, and promiscuous. She'll do whatever she has to to get what she wants, and doesn't care about who she hurts. *cough* BITCH *cough* (xD) Every time Phaedra is "switched" out, Kiera suffers from lapses in memory and doesn't remember a thing that her counterpart does. This also results in major lack of sleep, leaving Kiera rather frustrated, depressed, and detached.

Phaedra is in fact aware of the "host" personality, and enjoys exploiting it, making people think that she's actually Kiera, acting as charming and outgoing as ever. So good luck distinguishing the two when she's in the mood for games. Butttt...There is one physical change. Her eyes turn a bright yellow when her alter is “out”.

All in all, this friendly and bubbly suburban girl is a friend you wouldn't regret having. Just don't let her...flaw cloud your judgement of her.

HISTORY

Kiera Marie Rose was born to parents Caroline and Stephen Rose at approximately 6:22 PM at Bellevue Hospital, New York. She was the third and youngest daughter of three, her two sisters being over a decade older than she. Although her parents have told her time and again that they had always wanted another baby, the huge difference in time suggests that she was an…well, you get the idea.

Kiera was raised in the suburbs of Cloverwood, New York, in a safe, morally-focused household. Church every Sunday, regular family gatherings--her parents took any chance they could get to spend with their daughter. At age six, Kiera's mother thought it beneficial for her to pick up an instrument; although she expressed interest in the flute, they eventually settled for elegant, refined sound of a violin (which may have something to do with her parents going to see the local Symphony Orchestra on the same night). Kiera progressed with a steady pace, and performed her first solo at a small recital in her church.

Being the daughter of a prominent FBI Agent and diligent CPA kept her parents busy during most of the week, leaving them only the weekends to spend time at home. And sometimes not even that was possible, which caused Kiera to grow accustomed to being in the house all by herself. She spent most of these uneventful days at home discovering a talent she never new she had-- drawing. She began to sketch anything and everything, eventually branching out into new mediums, painting being a particular favorite. Even though Carole encouraged her daughter to keep her violin playing at the top of her list, to maybe even aim for becoming a member of the Symphony Orchestra one day, Kiera decided that art was her true calling, choosing to keep that as her focus of study through her school career. Even if it wasn't exactly what her mother wished for her, both parents enthusiastically gave Kiera their support.

Kiera's life was pretty normal growing up, playing with her best friend Vincent just about everyday, going to school, doing homework, all that great stuff that kids usually do. Everything seemed fine until fifth grade, when Kiera was ten. Her parents noticed a different air about her, like she was acting strangely. They'd sometimes hear her crying in the middle of the night- they knew about her night terrors, the doctor said that they were common in children her age- but this was something different. At times she would forget where she was, who she was talking to, and claim that she'd lose chunks of time during the day. Other times she would act like almost a completely different person- one minute she's as bright and bubbly as ever and the next she's quiet, withdrawn, and frustrated. She would even forget who she was, it seemed; she wouldn't respond to her own name with called, but kept saying her name was...Phaedra? Her parents simply dismissed it as a normal 'imaginary friend' of sorts.

This odd behavior continued for a couple of years, worsening to the point where her parents finally chose to take her to a doctor. These seemed like possible symptoms of manic depression, so the family physician encouraged Stephen and Carole to take her to be examined by a psychiatrist. After a few weeks of study and observation, it was confirmed that Kiera was really displaying the classic symptoms of a DID patient, that her so-called 'imaginary-friend' wasn't so imaginary after all, and was diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder.

The diagnosis launched a background check and interrogation of Kiera's parents, as the onset of DID/MPD is, in most cases, brought on by severe sexual/physical abuse or neglect. With the help of Stephen and Carole's positive reputation in their community, especially that of Stephen Rose for his dedicated service in the Cloverwood Police Agency, their names were cleared. They're still unsure of how Kiera could have developed this disorder, thought a twin study has revealed that it does, in fact, contain inheritable traits. A deeper search into the family's medical history has showed cases of Bi-Polar Disorder from her mother's side of the family and Schizophrenia from her dad's. Traced back far enough, they found just one family member that possessed borderline personality disorder. Kiera was then put on medication, but since then she's quit taking it--for over a year--but hasn't told anyone.

Kiera's life changed when she was fifteen, a sophomore in Cloverwood High. She met on of her future best friends, Takeru Amakane, and later befriended Raine Dufour, who she now basically considers her sister. She sees the Amakane's as her second family, sometimes even calling Lucinda "Mom". Cooking with Luci is particularly enjoyable for her- especially when the main ingredient is the white wine (if you catch my drift~).

Her old school, Cloverwood, was burnt down recently (all clues pointed to arson...hmmm...), which forced all who attended to enroll in new schools. Kiera and her friends were all fortunate enough to be able to enroll in the same place-- Belvedere Boarding School.

Kiera was born. She met Takeru at school. They're good friends. She also met Raine, Vincent, and Apollo at school. Together they hang out like good buddies. Sometimes she gets hit on by Seth. When that happens she punches him. It's really funny to watch.

On some occasions, she'll bake with Takeru's mom, Lucinda. They always end up drunk together. Then she has hawt secks with Melonu. Melonu doesn't know this, but Kiera has crabs. Won't she be surprised when she finds them. Now Kiera's enrolled in Belvedere academy. She'll meet a bunch of new people here.
